Megan Mays, M.S., OTR/L

Megan Mays is a 14 year pediatric Occupational Therapist who firmly believes that through play children can naturally build connections within themselves and their environment to support participation in all aspects of daily life. ​ As a neuroaffirming OT, Megan promotes strength-based interventions to support the sensory seeker and the sensory avoider in their quest to self regulation.

​Megan's therapeutic approach is based upon the foundation that ALL behavior is communication. By focusing on the sensory integrative processes which shape the lived experience, Megan faciliteates children's ability to develop self awareness of their internal bodily needs while learning strategies to manage their responses to the sensory input within their environment.

​Megan is experiences in administering sensory and developmental motor assessments. She develops targeted interventions to meet individual child needs through a mixture of sensory integration, primitive reflex exercises, and motor skill building activities to help children regulate their nervous system, improve their motor coordination, and develop advocacy skills.
