Emily Hammons Fortune, OT/L

Pediatric Occupational Therapist / Owner

Emily Hammons is a 25-year pediatric occupational therapist who has a deep passion for children & families that walk through her door. Emily has had the opportunity to work for amazing pediatric outpatient clinics over the years in Lexington learning from wonderful mentors & fellow clinicians. At one time, Emily directed & led the programming of a child development franchise initially started in Lexington. Then in 2020, Emily decided to take a leap & start her own private practice. Due to her love for providing intensive, intimate & high quality therapy, in January of 2025 Emily created NeuroSPARK Therapies.

She has spent her career devoted to empowering children & educating their parents through the lens of occupational therapy. She values creating connection, building confidence & instilling growth through a child’s valued occupation in life...PLAY! Emily truly believes that when we meet a child & their family where they are, we are able to find the calm in the chaos, hope in the challenge & create growth when it feels impossible. She knows that she can help a child’s spirit, brain and body meet their potential they were designed for. In combination with her training in primitive reflex integration, sensory integration & modulation & muscle strengthening she utilizes innovative modalities & techniques such as photobiomodulation, vagal nerve stimulation & neurofeedback to ensure the best progress and success for every child that walks through her door.

When Emily is not being an OT, you will often find her being a mother of 2 boys & 2 bonus boys. She is often traveling between Kentucky and North Caroline rooting on her 3 college athletes on the baseball & football field. If there’s anything that Emily knows... She knows the beautiful chaos of being a boy mom.
